'Its Now 28, not 1928'
So me and The Lass had a ruddy great weekend of DJing, dancing and ...i dunno, other stuff beginning with 'd'. We kicked off the festivities with a slamming set at Bungalows and Bears- thanks to all the kids who came down to see us, it was a treat to see you all- especially Dan Sumption (@dansumption) who took some killer shots, and a few good photos aswell ;). It was less of a treat to see some little boys who like to press shiney buttons on CDJs, when said CDJs are in use- you know who you are!
Despite it being a totally wicked weekender (nothing will surpass the sight of Our Lass' family dancing in formation to the Mickey Mouse Hotdog song- its amazing what a 3 yrd old can do), as always we're forced to stomach the odd chump here and there. Mainly DJs, who think they cant share their favourite songs- have you not heard of Google? Yeh, its this magic machine what tells you everybodys' discography, like ever? K, thanks. Anyway, just be aware- if you act like a twat, I will call you on it, and then call you one.
Here's to the Old Number 7 (West St), our new bestest hang out. Sorry Dove and Rainbow- we love you, but you just smell so bad. They serve drinks in jam jars, they let you scribble on everything and there's hardly ever any girls in there, so there's always loads of loo roll. ASBO has a crush on you #7 and were gonna ask you out any day.
Keep your ears to the ground. The new issue of Toast magazine (@toastmag) will be out in mere days. We do writing in it. The Russians do talking. Its gunna be amazing.
(All fotos c/o @dansumption at least, we think he took them. He cant actually remember...)
And finally, props to everyone who remembered that there are at least two nights out in a weekend.
'Fruits Presents...' at DQ Saturday nite was utter magic. Entering DQ to the sounds of Far East Movement is a treat you will only get off of her. More power to Our Yuriko for embedding the Jersey Shore fist pump into the DQ collective dance routine collection. Not sure about the guys' and their 'special handshake' though. I like to shake and move on, no one needs that much eye contact.
