All over my feet...
As a Kiss fan, there's a few things I have been missing.
1. The all important Kiss tattoo
2. A Peter Criss pewter tankard
3. A pair of Kiss Rock and Roll Over S8-HI Vans
I lost No. 2 during a messy divorce, but the kids at home searched e-bay high and low to get me a new one this Xmas. Apparently they'd totally sold out of the other 3 but had a job-lot on Our Crissy had one or two left. So now I can enjoy my (decaf) Tetley's outta Pete's dome everyday. Pure joy.
But the point of this blog is... finally No. 3 is mine!!!!! Japan eat your heart out, they sell 'em in TK Maxx Manchester. Ive been hearing rumours for months that ''there's always tonnes of pairs on offer'' , but its no ruddy good to me when they're only in size 11!! So now I have my very own pair to session everyday. All I need now is a mullet and a sleeveless tee and Im on itttt, Airheads style. Slammin!
As for No. 1, Im half way there. My pin up girl tattoo has Gene makeup, but its not quite enough if I wanna match up to the treats that Ive seen at past Kiss conventions.
With only 2 months before the Kiss' Sonic Boom Tour hits Sheff Arena, the clocks ticking. Have I got time to get the full set of Peter Criss copy-cat tatts? Singular drum, check, crappy rose, check, your own character make up, check. Its a tough job, but someone's gotta do it.

9 days to do what I want
So yeh, I have 9 days to mooch around, session daytime TV (Alibi channel is for winners), muse over the fact that my hand looks like a nanna's, Wrinkle a GOGO, and generally make a nuisance of myself.
Me and Our Lass started my holiday off with a bang. I wore my fresh kicks (charity shop plastic leather-ette mum wedges) and she treated me to a pre-Valentines nite out. We were very loved up as we pranced around to Ralph Razor's DJ set at the Washington- as noted in a previous blog, he wasn't carrying the Benetar. We were gracious, but dont let it happen again, ok?
We got ID-ed. Twice. (26 years young).
Our asses dominated the dance floor. We cant help it, they just get in the way!
Our Lass insisted on being introduced to everyone. And then shaking their hands. She turned into Hillary Clinton for the night, it was weird. Maybe it had something to do with my shoes...they were pretty blinding.
Aside from all that..feeling blue?
Just think about Jimmy Eat World. Or Good Charlotte's first album. That always cheers me up...
''What's your name again? I always forget.''
P.S. Monday nite corp anyone?

For realz.

Heidi and Audrina eat your heart out
We've had a rite old weekend me and Our Lass.
There's nowt better to start your Friday nite off than a Taboo and lemonade washed down with a slew of fancy dressed kids in Our Lass' local pub (this one has a ball pool and a tuck shop-for realz). Getting shouted at by the grumpy Landlord was less fun- I thought the guy was serving Timmy Mallet first! Maybe its karma for me shouting at them 3 shop assistants in Somerfield the other day-they wouldnt let me swap my conditioner. It was a very stressful situation. How am I gonna get hair like Cheryl Cole if I cant get into my L'Oreal Full Restore 5???
''Becauze yur wort' it Our Pet''
(PS. Check out the guns on Banana Man)
Turns out my nite was surrounded by dress ups-such as the gaggle of mimes that we bumped into outside Chinos at 3am. They werent very good method actors though, they were actually eating pizza insted of miming it (cheaters).
ASBO pride ourselves in our talent spotting abilities- but we think we might have out-done ourselves this time. Russ T. pub singer, small venue entertainer and utter legend. Words cant describe the skills this guy is blessed with, so Im gonna let this video do the job for me...
I havent seen someone work a keytar that well since the late 80s. No danger-he's gunna be on an ASBO bill near you soon...
Saturday nite, for us, was all about the South Yorks- the place that me and Our Lass hold dearest in our hearts. We helped the delectable Kid Acne launch his new county-inspired t-shirt range. It was a nite dedicated to music from the Steel State. Of course we jumped in feet first- ASBO are so Yorkshire we practically bleed Hendersons. It was difficult to pick just 10 tracks to represent the amazingly eclectic bands that originate from Sheff. We were slightly dissapointed that we couldnt include artists from Leeds as this meant no Send More Paramedics...but we swiftly realised that Leeds is shit, so we got over it pretty quick.
Here's our set list, we strongly recomend that you go off and discover these musicians cus theyre all ruddy brilliant in their own unique ways...
Wheels of Steel
Vex1
Stoney
Hoggboy
Saxon
Suck Munkie
some punk band (they all sound the same anyway dont they?)
I also helped Our Lass get to grips with her ass-jiggling fitness machine. She made me have a go on it, basically no ones body should be jarred that much. Its an instant bruise inflictor. Fact.
Something you should know about me:
I have Dad envy.
People that I currently that I wish were my dad:
Seasick Steve
Vinnie Jones
Gavin's dad.
Yeh thats it pretty much...
I also have rap-singer envy.
I wish I was Nicki Minaj (Ive heard she wishes she were me too...)
Currently theres some discrepancy on the gramatical correctness of our name:
ASBO a GoGo
Asbo a gogo
ASBO a GOGO
asbo A gogo
ASBO a teeth show
Who wudda thought a few capital letters could send you into such a spin...apparently Ive been writing it wrong for years...ooops.
Anyone wanna join me and Our Fresh Fruits at the Tinie Tempah at Plug March 2nd? We'd like to go, but also dont wanna be the oldest people in the building...''got so many clothes I keep 'em at my aunt's house...''
Also get on this:
Peter Criss wudda never let 'em get away with it...
Anyway till next time...keep your eggs as fresh as these guys:
Lauper vs. The Gaga
Words cant describe the joy ASBO felt as we found out these two dreams had joined forces. I cannot wait to hear the Girls Just Wanna Have Teeth mash up thats on the horizon. OMG. Its the best pairing since Fred Durst and KoRn 's unforgettable ''All in the Family'' (we all know you burn off this track as much as we do. Criminal Damage, red rew eras, Emily Strange t-shirts et al. ).10.2.10
Could've been written about us
Me and Our Lass are currently burning off this little number by Plan B.
I love it cus she bought it on CD single- yeh she's probs the only person left in the world who stills goes to HMV for singles- I think the chart stand has been moved to the men's toilet due to lack of demand. Shes also the only person (apart from my mum) who's on Vodafone network. I guess, when she says she loves the 90s-she really means it...
Other reasons I love Plan B:
Hes a bit chubby- you know he tucks into a Heniz All-Day Breakfast in a tin of a morning (egg in a tin. Its not right).
His tiny gold chain.
And the fact that he writes songs about beating up his mums boyfriend. Cute. Thugz for life.

Hype hype baby
Me and Our Lass decided to have a go ont some scratchies. Not everyones a winner... (you gotta be in it to bin it...)
Id like to start this blog on a sour note; me and Our Lass may have a somewhat cavalier attitude to DJing, but its served us well so far. Far enough that we dont need no Sheffield scenster telling us how to do our job- apprently real DJs dont dance to their own music. Ok this mite be true...if by real DJ you mean boring shoe gazer.
Take your trench coat and your alphabetised vinyl collection and stick it where where your teeth dont meet your gums. If your playing tracks like The Beatards youre gunna wanna dance, which begs the question:
'What the hell are you playing?'
On a lighter note- has anyone seen those outfits on the new Alexandra Burke video, and by seen I mean, totally died over...get me a #9, gold based, lycra stretch, sholder padded up to the ears, American Football all in one. Get it for me, and get it quick - Melody must have them on order yeh?
We were delighted to join our favourite glammer puss and resident Threads lovely Fresh Fruits for her first (of many!) hosting nites at DQ this Saturday nite. She did a fabulous job-especially with the rider, this girl knows warm larger does not make a happy ASBO. Infact it was so good that I can still taste the apple juice...
Playing a clubnite is always a teeny bit weird for me and Our Lass as were used to the pub circuit, as in
We had a killer time, and especially excited by the VJ busting out a plethora of ASBO imagery, theres nothing like dancing behind the decks as a 3 foot flashing image of your crotch is projected behind you (only ASBO could get into this shit). Our Lass' art work looked buzzing up there-espcially the falic stuff- DQ is all testosterone!!
Other highlights were our outfits, electrical tape can get you far these days (''Fruits, what are the ASBOs wearing?), a pint of apple juice, Dane's face after tequila, slamming toilet doors in peoples' faces and (of course) our rendition of Beyonce's crunk moves during Sweet Dream. You had to see it to love it - we got riddem manz.
It occured to Our Lass this week that there's barely been any music relased in the last 12 months thats fit to rival anything that she hasnt already got on a 90 min THS mix tape (yes we both have tape decks, please send us your old tapes-we will give them a good home and session them LOADS). I kinda have to agree apart from the obvious (Battlefield anyone?). If we could have our way, we would all revert back to the 90s where pop stars were ugly (Phil Collins anyone?) but made slammin tracks.
I also came to terms with the fact that if we ever make it big that Im going to spend all my money on employing a woman whos sole job is to apply my false eyelashes. Its a task that could send me over the edge (a tantrum a day helps you work rest and play).
We are ASBO a GoGo.
We are T and A.
Believe the re-hype.
This week I have mainly been sessioning:
Marina and the Diamonds
Human Waste Project
Smizing
and these dreamzz
and definately not sessioning anyone who sings Rod Stewart's I Am Sailing, it used to make me cry as a child and still does...
PS I love Chinos (and this little one).
